WWU Death; 2 students died in unrelated on-campus incidents

Over the course of the past twenty-four hours, Western Washington University (WWU) has been the site of two fatalities involving students. An alleged fall from the Nash Hall dorm on the evening of 9 October resulted in the death of a student, according to a letter that was sent out by the President of the World War University, Sabah Randhawa.

A conclusion has been reached by law enforcement that the death was not the product of any kind of criminal activity and that there is no threat to the community.

The university made the announcement that there was a second death in Alma Clark Glass Hall in an email that was sent out by President Randhawa at one o’clock on October 10th. As of right now, there is no indication that the two deaths are connected to one another. No information regarding the circumstances behind the second death has been made public.

Students who are experiencing difficulties are being sent to the WWU Counselling and Wellness Centre by the university. Additionally, specialists working in student affairs are accessible to offer assistance to individuals who are in need of it. Students who are having difficulty and members of the community are encouraged to reach out to the university.

The Counselling and Wellness Centre at the university can be reached by students at the following number: (360) 650-3164. The Employee Assistance Program at WWU can be reached at (877) 313-4455, and employees of the university are encouraged to register for it.
