It was reported by the Toronto police that a woman who was crossing the street when she was struck by a school bus  has passed away as a result of her injuries. On October 9, at around four o’clock in the afternoon, officers were dispatched to the Upper Beaches neighbourhood, specifically at the intersection of Kingston Road and Kingswood Road, in response to several complaints of an accident involving a pedestrian.

The driver of the school bus was reportedly going eastbound on Kingston Road while the woman was walking west and crossing the street on the north side. This information was provided by the police. While the woman was crossing the street, the motorist allegedly made a left turn and struck her. This is according to the officers.

She was taken to a hospital in a life-threatening situation, and on Saturday, October 13, it was determined that she had passed away. She was identified as Rachel Turner.

The motorist has remained at the scene of the accident and is providing assistance to the inquiry. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have knowledge about it is being asked to get in touch with the authorities by the investigators.
