Jack Hankee, the Assistant Principal of the Southern Lehigh Middle School has passed away, his educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics from Kutztown University, a Masters degree in “Technology for Educators” from DeSales University, and an administrative certification from the California University of Pennsylvania. Jack had 18 years of experience teaching in secondary education, which encompassed all secondary levels, as well as alternative education through gifted courses in mathematics, with a focus on grades 9-12.
Also, he had the privilege of working with educators in the role of a professional learning community (PLC) facilitator, with a particular emphasis on data analysis and the most effective teaching approaches. In the beginning of his career in administration, he worked at Louis E. Dieruff High School, where he served as the Dean of Students for a period of three years. Furthermore, he had the opportunity to work with the school, students, and community in a unique manner during his prior tenure as a coach for both soccer and cross-country, which spanned a period of ten years.
Our thoughts and prayers to the Southern Lehigh Community.
